Jeffrey C. Lynne
Jeffrey Lynne, Esquire attended the University of Florida, graduating in 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. He then attended the University of Miami School of Law where he graduated in May, 1997, With Honors.
Jeffrey began his professional career as an Assistant State Attorney (criminal prosecutor) in the Office of the State Attorney in Miami, where he was selected to join the agency’s prestigious Economic Crimes Unit. Jeffrey then moved to Palm Beach County in 2000 where he briefly practiced civil commercial litigation until 2002 when he joined the City of Boca Raton as its Assistant City Attorney, practicing Government Law, Land Use & Zoning, Private Property Litigation, and Code Enforcement.
In 2005, Jeffrey then joined the Fort Lauderdale office of Akerman, LLP where he became a Shareholder, representing private clients before local, state and federal agencies in the areas of Land Use & Zoning, Governmental Affairs, Property Rights Litigation and Construction Law.
In 2010, Jeffrey moved his practice to Delray Beach, Florida, where he continued his practice primarily upon Land Use & Zoning and Private Property Rights, representing private property owners and businesses before local governments and state agencies relating to the use and regulation of land and business entities. In 2012, Jeffrey served as co-counsel representing the national drug and alcohol treatment program, The Caron Foundation, in the case of The Caron Foundation of Florida, Inc. v. City of Delray Beach, which case reaffirmed that local governments may not discriminate against persons in recovery from substance use disorder with regard to local zoning and housing.
In 2016, Jeffrey moved his growing practice to work with long-time friends Adam Beighley, Ed Myrick, Jr., and Maury Udell, to form Beighley, Myrick, Udell & Lynne, P.A., in order to expand his offerings as a full-service law firm provides wide-ranging legal services to individuals and businesses across Florida, representing private individuals and businesses all aspects of land use and zoning entitlements, including those who work within the treatment and housing provider industry relating to zoning, real estate, corporate structuring, litigation, licensing, accreditation, regulatory compliance, and marketing arrangements.
Jeffrey is continually recognized within the legal community for his legal knowledge and high ethical standards. He was awarded the “AV-Preeminent” recognition by Martindale-Hubbell in 2005 and has received this distinction every year since. He was selected as one of the “Top 40 Under 40” business professionals by the South Florida Business Journal in 2009; earned the LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) designation by the U.S. Green Building Council; and most recently named a “Top Rated Lawyer in Appellate Law.” Jeffrey also has receives the highest ratings for legal ethics and practice on the legal review site Avvo.com.
